[Once he gets past the urge to just spew apologies, once he feels a little less like tearing his hair out, he gets on the network.]
You know, I don't remember if I ever said anything about it. But there's an animal clinic on board. [He holds up a set of keys, jingles them.] That's what those keys were, a while ago. I've got some experience working in one so, um. If anything happens, I've got stuff for splints and vaccines and worms and stuff. Since it'd be really easy for one to infect a whole bunch, you know?
[He pauses, because he remembers how people said apologies were unnecessary, that flood-selves weren't real, but like before, it just feels necessary, just to get it off his chest.]
And I'm sorry I was so...I'm just sorry.
[Private to Daneca]
You especially.
[Private to Jack]
So that's got to be, like, the worst thing to get paired off of, right? [WORST BEHIND THEM THOUGH right? right?]
[Private to Iris and Bruce, separately]
And thanks. For not letting me do something...really bad.
[Spam for Alana]
[He thinks Alana probably needs more than a straightforward apology, though he's not sure why. Something tells him she doesn't really have friends here, and while it's kind of weird trying to be a friend to someone who could be, like, a school therapist or counselor or something, he also thinks it'd be nice to know that someone's thinking of you.
Or something. He's seriously not over thinking it.
So eventually, Scott makes his way to her door, knocking. He knows there's a dog in there.]

I just--
[ Sigh ]
I don't like what that place-- made me. Or showed me. It makes me angry, and I... shouldn't be.

[Alana follows him over and holds him by the collar as she answers the door. She's surprised to find Scott on the other side.]
Scott? What brings you here?
spam;
I just thought, maybe your dog might like these. It was Winston, right? These are good for his teeth.
spam;
[Treat.]
[He wants the treat.]
[Alana glances down at Winston with a smile.]
Thank you. That was thoughtful of you. [She opens the door a little wider and moves herself and Winston out of the way.] Do you want to come in?

You don't have anything to apologize for. It's not like you actually think and act like that.

[hugs and dogs spam dwi]
Elvis and Solace can track him down with relative ease; there aren't so many friendly, treatcarrying werewolves around that they can't pick up exactly who it is Iris is thinking of, and they're fond of Scott on his own account.
When they find him, the dogs caper and playbow happily around him. Iris is only a few seconds behind him, and she launches herself into a fullbody hug before saying any words at all.]
Oh Scott. I'm so glad we've got you. So glad.
[spam dealing wi!]
It's just a surprise, at first, but then she speaks and suddenly he just misses his mom. He misses being excited about her being able to come to a game where he didn't have to sit on the bench, back before he understood everything.
Scott wraps his arms around Iris, hugging her tight.]
Thanks, Iris. [Shut up his voice isn't thick YOU'RE thick he's fine. Totally fine.]
