[The breach ends and Scott is exhausted, from the drifts and the new memories and the attacks. He doesn't want to think about how many people got hurt there, because it's impossible not to think of that place as real. There's another him somewhere, piloting a Jaeger with another Clementine, and they're both fighting for their lives.

He makes his way back to his bedroom and drops face first onto the bed, not realizing how long he's actually been asleep. That's where he'll be found, but the usual conga line of visitors. Except this time, he'll probably wake up when people start talking around him.]

[Scott looks really weirded out. Like. Really. For a moment he just stares into the camera; it passes, and he shakes his head like he needs to physically clear it.]

Okay, so...I guess I was asleep for a while. Sorry, if that freaked anyone out. [A beat.] It's totally freaking me out.

Anyway, I'm back, so if anyone needs me, uh, I'm here? I guess I never actually left...[He mutters the last to himself, and decides to turn the feed off there before he starts babbling incoherently.]

How are you?

[It's not a lead in to something else. It's not just polite small talk. When he asks, he means it. He's worried about her, because in the unlikely chance she needed him, he wasn't awake to answer.]

[Her face softens into a smile and she nods at him.]

Yeah, it's weird. You look confused.

Kind of, I guess. I mean - it feels like I should realize, you know? But it was just like I had some really crappy dreams and then woke up.

Dreams? Like maybe things that were happening outside? Did you have any Harry Potter related dreams?

Or ones about back home?

No, like...I don't know. Really bad ones, weird ones, some with people I didn't even know.

Why Harry Potter? [A beat] Were you guys reading me Harry Potter?

Oh. Well, that was probably the flood we had. We got each other's dreams for a while.

[But she doesn't really wanna talk about that.]

Yeah. We were taking turns. It was Stiles' idea. I guess he was hoping you'd remember it and finally get through the books. [That may be her, teasing.]

Oh. [Okay that.....he does not blame her for that, so he'll just swallow whatever questions he has.

Which is easy, because she makes him laugh.]

There's a lot of books!

[She grins when he laughs, because at least that was easy.]

He was trying to be helpful. But I guess you're stuck with reading them.

You can't even pretend you're not happy about that.

You'll enjoy it, Scott!

[She promises. But then, she changes the subject again.]

Do you need anything? I went for a walk with Andrew when he woke up. And he was also starving.

I guess I'm kinda hungry, yeah. Mostly I'm just...trying to figure out what I missed.

You missed a lot. You were out for a long time. [She won't throw everything at him, though.]

Mostly, you missed the entire pack trying to fit in your cabin. It was not comfortable.

Yeah, Steve was saying the same thing. [He looks around himself, shaking his head and giving a half laugh.]

It's pretty small in here.

Next Christmas, I'm wishing you for a room upgrade and a huge bed. Also, a much more comfortable one. You need a new mattress. [Princess Lydia is used to comfort, Scott. And yes, by the way, she and Stiles slept on your bed with you.

But then, she adds a smile.]

It wasn't all bad, though.

[Wait

wait.]

Did you sleep in my bed?

... Yeah? [And yes, it does sound a little weird but--

Stiles was upset and she was staying there to watch after both of them, so, what else was she supposed to do? Awkwardness control time.]

I think we all did at some point. Well, Isaac has his own room, so maybe not him. But I'm not sure. Stiles spent every night there, though.

[He pauses for a hot second because yeah, this is definitely weird. But really, it just means they care. So he laughs, shakes his head.]

My bed is definitely too small for that.

[Laughing is good, laughing means it worked.]

Seriously upgrading you on Christmas. [She cocks her head and arches an eyebrow as she thinks of something else, then switches to private.]

Did Stiles mention any new arrivals?

[He knows what's coming the second he sees the filter change, and nods.]

You mean Liam?

Yeah, I mean Liam. [And Lydia is grateful that Stiles already told him, she wouldn't want to be the one to explain he bit someone.]

How are you doing with that?

I have no freaking idea.

[He's scared of what this means, of what it means he'll do or be or....]

I don't even know him yet.

He's-- nice. [At least he apologized for trying to rip her to shreds?]

I think he's really new to this, so, before you meet him, you might wanna take some time to get used to the idea. He's gonna need you. [No pressure, though!]

You were willing to do it to save Stiles, right? [With a sigh, she gives him a look.]

You're not Peter, Scott. You wouldn't do it for selfish reasons, to have a bigger pack. If you turned him, you had a good reason. [And in that, she believes 100%, because she believes in Scott.]

[It takes a small weight off his chest, hearing her say that. He's not Peter. He's not Deucalion, even if he felt like them after every time he was his mirror-self.]

Yeah. you're right. [Because he can't imagine the reason, but he doesn't want to try, either. What he was willing to do for Stiles still makes his stomach flip.]

Being a dad is going to be really weird. [Blame Stiles for that particular joke.]

[She smiles softly at his words, glad he's relaxing a little. But if anyone can give a new wolf the support and help they need, it's definitely Scott. The Hales were never good Alphas. Scott, however, helps all of them, even though most of them aren't even actual werewolves. His pack isn't about power, it's about family.]

Well, you're gonna have plenty of help to raise the kid. I'm sure he'll be fine as soon as he realizes he has you.
