As he backs away, it's pretty clear that it's on some kind of tree branch, because it's angled down at Scott. He's got a lacrosse stick in his hands, and there's a red helmet on the ground next to him.

He's also grinning the biggest grin.]

The CES is awesome, in case uh, anyone else hasn't been up here yet. Totally awesome. [He's juggling a ball in the net, jerking the stick back and forth and tossing the ball up every now and then.] There's this big space, and it's like, completely perfect for lacrosse. Does anyone else play? Maybe we could get a scrimmage going.

Hey, uh, I'm Scott McCall. I'm new here, but Chromie told me you were talking about opening an animal clinic? It's just, I worked in one back home and I thought, you know, if I'm waiting around for an inmate I could help with that?

Sooooo, how would it work if I wanted to run an animal clinic? You know, for the pets and...animals. Can I use an empty room or something? Can you get me supplies? It'll, um. [And now he is totally reading from the list Megamind gave him.] It'll be a good, uh, employment opportunity for inmates, it'll make wardens' jobs easier because they won't have to worry about their pets, and taking care of animals is a good...learning experience?

My father had some very strong feelings about using meat efficiently. I think most people wouldn't ascribe to them. I'm also beginning to think he stole some of the ideas from books I've tracked down here, but I could be wrong.

Oh, just about . . . stereotypes about Native American eating habits. Eating all the parts of the buffalo? I started looking all of that up because a little while before I died, a friend of mine was looking into a totem pole made of human bodies.

[She hums quietly to herself for a moment and then turns to look at Scott with a bright smile.]

My father wasn't as smart as he thought he was. But he did make a good hair pillow.

Rich. Very rich. It can be gamey if you don't cook it right, and some people don't know how to, since it's not as popular as chicken or steak or fish.

...How do you cook it? [He doesn't actually care, he just wants to get back to something like normalcy.]

Well, how do you like your steak? You can do a lot of similar things with venison. Or make jerky out of it. Do you like jerky, Scott?

I guess, yeah. You can make deer jerky?

Sure. You can make jerky out of pretty much any kind of meat. It's a pain because you have to dehydrate it, but my dad showed me how to do it in the oven.

You're still looking a little concerned. Did I say something wrong?
