It's - it's not about taming an animal, it's about this guy who wants to get this super aggressive girl to marry him. 'Shrew' is kinda like 'beeyatch', you see? The way Kat was a beeyatch to Peter Verona?

Sorry. It's probably not a surprise that my dad enjoys Shakespeare and I've read a bunch.

[She didn't want to make him feel stupid.]

No. [He doesn't feel that stupid. There's a sharp, brief tug of it - but the realization that he's never read these plays, and it's not like anyone pointed them out to him, kind of help easy it away. He smiles at her.]

Not really. But that's cool. Shakespeare's a lot funnier than I thought he was.

[She offers this very enthusiastically, like somehow she thinks the prospect of dick jokes is an opportunity for bonding.]

[Dick jokes are always opportunities for bonding. He chuckles, and though there's a brief moment, a flash of hesitation - because it all brought his thoughts of Daneca to the fore and God he misses her, but he can't spend his whole life missing someone, can he? - he nods.]
