Whoah - hang on-- [There is some shaky cam for a second, and then Scott has managed to prop the camera up...somewhere. As he backs away, it's pretty clear that it's on some kind of tree branch, because it's angled down at Scott. He's got a lacrosse stick in his hands, and there's a red helmet on the ground next to him.

He's also grinning the biggest grin.]

The CES is awesome, in case uh, anyone else hasn't been up here yet. Totally awesome. [He's juggling a ball in the net, jerking the stick back and forth and tossing the ball up every now and then.] There's this big space, and it's like, completely perfect for lacrosse. Does anyone else play? Maybe we could get a scrimmage going.

Hey, uh, I'm Scott McCall. I'm new here, but Chromie told me you were talking about opening an animal clinic? It's just, I worked in one back home and I thought, you know, if I'm waiting around for an inmate I could help with that?

Sooooo, how would it work if I wanted to run an animal clinic? You know, for the pets and...animals. Can I use an empty room or something? Can you get me supplies? It'll, um. [And now he is totally reading from the list Megamind gave him.] It'll be a good, uh, employment opportunity for inmates, it'll make wardens' jobs easier because they won't have to worry about their pets, and taking care of animals is a good...learning experience?

[She makes her way up onto the deck (after taking a moment for scarf adjustment) and meets him outside the CES with a small wave.]

Hi.

Um, I'm Abigail, by the way.

[nuh-uh. Scott is lounging outside the CES door, still playing with the lacross stick. He's just tossing the ball around to entertain himself, but he catches it and waves back when she shows up.]

I'm Scott. Are you new too? [He turns and waves his stick to open the door - which took him a long damn time to figure out, by the way - and holds the door open for her.]

Yeah. Pretty new. Mostly I just haven't figured everything out yet.

[Lies lies lies. She smiles a little at him and steps inside, glancing over her shoulder to make sure he's following.]

It's nice to meet you, Scott.

[Hook line sinker. He's following, and falls into step next to her.]

Yeah, you too. Honestly? I'm still kinda getting lost.

I wish I could be more help, but I don't really know where everything is yet. I've made it to the dining hall most days so far, anyway.

[She looks around at the CES.]

You're right. It's really nice in here.

That I have no trouble finding. [If only because he can smell the food all the way across the Barge.]

Do you play any sports?

[A useful skill. She wrinkles her nose, shakes her head.]

Not really. Softball for a while in middle school. I wasn't very good at it.

Oh yeah? How come? No hand-eye coordination? [He's actually asking!! Not even teasing, really.]

[She squints at him and then judges that this is probably genuine. Probably.]

I just got really busy in high school? I went on a lot of hunting trips with my dad, and we'd be out of town on weekends . . . that kind of thing.

Oh, yeah. Most games are on the weekend, so...[He shrugs. Sounds legit to him. He's still just waving the stick back and forth in front of him, juggling the ball.] So you're a hunter? [Unsure.]

[She hesitates, then nods.]

Yeah. Learning, anyway.

It's not that hard. I always figured it would be harder.

It's just not as hard to kill things as I expected.

Technically speaking, it can be challenging. Making sure you use your tools effectively and prepare the meat right.
